Administrators can add users from User Management, assign the appropriate groups, choose sign-in and network restrictions, and send an activation link in one workflow.
Before you begin: Confirm the user's email address, required groups, sign-in method, and whether IP restrictions should apply. Group membership determines what the user can see and do.
Add and invite a user
- Sign in with an account that can manage users.
- Select Admin > User Management.
- Open the User tab.
- Select the add-user plus icon in the User table header.
- Enter the user's First Name, Last Name, and Email.
- Under Assign Groups, move the required entries from Available Groups to Selected Groups.
- Set Access Restriction to the appropriate network-access option.
- Choose the configured Login Type: Local, Mixed, or SSO.
- Select Save & Send Activation Link.
Choose access carefully
- Use User Access Levels to review the current group-permission model before assigning elevated access.
- Use Internet Protocol (IP) Restrictions before enabling the restricted network-access option.
- Choose SSO only when the user's identity provider and the corresponding AuditFindings single sign-on configuration are ready.
After sending the invitation
- Confirm that the new row appears on Admin > User Management > User.
- Review the user's groups, account status, IP restriction, account type, and authentication method in the User table.
- If the activation email does not arrive, confirm the email address and ask the recipient to check spam or quarantine before sending another invitation.
Security note: Give each user only the groups and access needed for their work. Review overlapping group memberships because permissions can combine.
