Use mass edits when you need to update several issues at the same time. The current Issues page uses row checkboxes and a bottom Issue Actions toolbar for bulk updates.
Before you begin
- Mass edits affect every issue you select. Review the selected issues carefully before confirming a change.
- Your role, account settings, and issue access determine which actions are available.
- Use Filter/Search first if you need to narrow the issue list before selecting records.
- Be especially careful with destructive actions such as Delete or Archive / Restore.
Mass edit issues
- Sign in to AuditFindings.
- Select Issues in the left navigation.
- Optional: select Filter/Search to narrow the list to the issues you want to update.
- Select the checkboxes for the issues you want to update. You can select individual rows or use the select-all checkbox for the current page.
- Scroll to the bottom of the list. The toolbar shows how many issues are selected.
- Select Issue Actions.
- Choose the bulk action you want to perform. Actions are grouped by Content, Assignment & classification, Dates, Workflow, Export, and Destructive.
- Complete any required fields or confirmation prompts for that action. Some actions, such as Set Priority, display an inline field and action button in the bottom toolbar.
- Review the change, then save or confirm it.
Common issue actions
The available options can vary, but the current Issues page includes actions such as:
- Add Comment and Set Resolution
- Add Tag
- Assign, Set Owner, Change Audit, and Set Requirement
- Set Priority, Set Status, and date-field updates
- Archive / Restore
- Follow / Unfollow and Send Reminder
- Export as Excel and Export as CSV
- Delete
If an action is missing
- Confirm that at least one issue is selected.
- Confirm that your role allows the action.
- Confirm that you have access to the selected issues and related audit data.
- If the action still does not appear, contact an account administrator.
